Merge: page nav as a left sidebar
The page-declared nav moves from a stack above the body to a left
sidebar, with the body shifted right to clear it. The footer nav is
left-aligned at body width with a subtle rule, and the border that sat
between the nav and the body is gone.
Pages and posts no longer share a left edge. That is deliberate and the
user's call: a page with a sidebar is a different kind of document from a
dated post.
Most of the work here was geometry that only measurement could settle --
em resolving against each element's own font-size, a footer in a
different containing block from the body it was meant to align with, a
heading offset that dragged the back arrow out of its column, and a media
rule that matched but lost on source order. Every one looked correct in
the CSS and was wrong on the page.
Verified at three widths. 1440px: title, body and footer at x=421, arrow
and nav at x=24. No nav: all three at 133. 400px: everything at 22, no
horizontal scroll, nav stacked above the body.
